Patrick J. Glotzbach, IBA chairman, is president and chief executive officer of The New Washington State Bank, Charlestown, which he joined in 1991. He began his banking career in 1980 with First Bank of Charlestown. Glotzbach is a board member and past chairman of the Medical Center of Indiana and Saint Catherine Regional Hospital. He is a member of the board of directors of One Southern Indiana Chamber & Economic Development and serves on the City of Charlestown Vision Team. He is a graduate of Vincennes University, the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and completed the National Commercial Lending School of the American Bankers Association. Glotzbach previously served the IBA board as first and second vice chairman and as ABA Membership Council representative.

James C. Marcuccilli, first vice chairman, is president and CEO of STAR Financial Bank, Fort Wayne, and a director of STAR Financial Group Inc. He was named to his position with STAR in 1997 after more than 20 years of service and was named to his holding company position in 1985. Marcuccilli is chairman of the board of Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana and serves on the boards of directors of the Indiana Economic Development Corp., Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana and Steel Dynamics Inc. He is past chairman of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Marcuccilli has been active with the IBA as second vice chairman, a member of the Government Relations Committee and a key contact banker.

David W. Heeter, second vice chairman, is CEO and director of MutualBank, Muncie. He also serves as CEO, president and director of MutualFirst Financial Inc. Heeter joined MutualBank in 1978 and has served in multiple positions, including vice president and executive vice president/chief operating officer, before being named to his current titles in 2003. He is vice president of the MutualBank Charitable Foundation Inc., member of the Cardinal Health Alliance board of directors and member of the Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County finance advisory board. Heeter has past leadership experience with the Ball State University College of Business Alumni Board, Muncie Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, United Way and Muncie Family YMCA. He is a graduate of Ball State University and of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, and a past northeast region director of the IBA board of directors.

Immediate Past Chairman
David M. Geis, immediate past chairman, has been serving as president and CEO of Bancorp. of Southern Indiana and of Jackson County Bank, Seymour, since 1980. He began his banking career in 1974 as a credit analyst with Indiana National Bank. Geis also has past experience with the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions as a senior bank examiner and with Jackson County Bank as a commercial loan officer and executive vice president. His community activities include involvement as director and president of Seymour Industrial Corp., as director of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and member of its finance and audit committee, as past director and board chairman of the Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce, as an appointee to the Seymour Economic Development Commission and as a board member and vice president of the St. Ambrose Parish Council. Geis is a graduate of Indiana University, of the National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma and of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He previously served the IBA as chairman, preceded by positions as first, second, third and fourth vice chairman.

S. Joe DeHaven, Association president and CEO, joined the IBA as president and chief operating officer in 2006, as a result of the merger of the Community Bankers Association of Indiana and the IBA. In 2007 he was promoted to president and chief executive officer. DeHaven previously served CBAI as president and CEO from 1990 through the 2006 merger. He has prior experience as an executive officer of Merchants National Bank of Muncie - now First Merchants Bank. He currently serves as a trustee of the Graduate School of Banking, Wisconsin; as a board member of the Indiana Statewide Certified Development Corp.; as a member of the New Markets Tax Credit Advisory Board of the Great Lakes Capital Fund for Housing; on the board of trustees of the American Bankers Association Education Foundation; as assistant treasurer and board member of the Indiana Legal Foundation; on the American Bankers Association Government Relations Council; and on the Independent Community Bankers of America Payments and Technology Committee. DeHaven has served as chairman of the Council of Community Banker Associations, as a board member of the Independent Community Bankers of America and as past president of the board of directors of Family Services of Delaware County. He also is a member of the Indiana Society of Association Executives, the American Society of Association Executives, the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana and the IBA Forty Year Club. DeHaven was named 2010 Association Executive of the Year by the Indiana Society of Association Executives. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

Joseph G. Pierce, ICBA state director, has been serving as president and CEO of Farmers State Bank, LaGrange, since 2000. He serves the community through the LaGrange County Community Foundation, LaGrange County Economic Development Corp., Parkview LaGrange Hospital board of directors and Parkview Health audit committee. He also is chairman of the Independent Community Bankers of America Education Committee; member, regional chamber director and regional partnership director of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management financial assurance board; director of TCM Bank, NA; and chairman of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors bankers advisory board. Pierce previously was chairman of the Indiana Bankers Association; chairman of the Community Bankers Association of Indiana; vice chairman of the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions; director of the LaGrange County United Fund; steering committee member of VIVA LaGrange; founding director of the LaGrange County CEO Roundtable; director and secretary of the LaGrange Chamber of Commerce; and a member of the LaGrange County Redevelopment Commission. He is a graduate of Franklin College and of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

Michael C. Marhenke, ABA membership council, was named the first president and CEO of Independent Alliance Banks Inc., Grabill, in 2005. He also has served as president and CEO of Grabill Bank, one of the banks in the Independent Alliance Banks Inc. holding company, since 2004. Marhenke has approximately 35 years of banking experience, including positions as executive vice president, chief operating officer and vice president of business development of Grabill Bank, which he joined in 1998. Previously he was president of Norwest Bank, Bluffton. Marhenke serves on the membership council of the American Bankers Association and on the boards of directors of MarkleBank, Grabill Bank and Independent Alliance Banks. He also serves as an advisory member of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, the board of directors of New Haven/Adams Township Park Department and as treasurer of the David Hefner International Exchange Fund. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

Lisa Arnold, Future Leadership Division president, is chief operations officer of HomeBank SB, Martinsville. She joined the bank in 1985 and has served in several positions, including branch manager and manager of retail banking. Her community affiliations have included the Martinsville/Mooresville Kiwanis Clubs, Junior Achievement, Community Foundation of Morgan County, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, Morgan County Extension Board and the Indiana University Health Morgan Hospital Foundation. Arnold also was a former director for the Martinsville and Mooresville chambers of commerce and was named 2007 Businesswoman of the Year by the Greater Martinsville Chamber of Commerce. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Franklin College, an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and completed the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the ABA National Commercial Lending School.

Michael D. Cahill has been serving as president and CEO of Tower Financial Corp., Fort Wayne, since 2008 and as president and CEO of Tower’s main operating subsidiary, Tower Bank & Trust Company, since 2006. He joined Tower as chief financial officer in 2004 and was named a director in 2005. Cahill began his career with Arthur Young & Co.--now Ernst and Young—as a certified public accountant. He later served as chief financial officer of a physician-operated health plan. Cahill is past chair of the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation, a board member of the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, the Robert Goldstine Foundation, the Allen County- Fort Wayne Historical Society, and AWS, LLC. He is also a member of the Fort Wayne Business Forum, Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana finance committee, the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society. Cahill is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.

Andrew J. Briggs, president and CEO, Bank of Geneva, is the fifth-generation member of his family to serve as president of the bank. He has 35 years of banking experience and has been serving in his current position since 1994. Briggs is past president of the Geneva Town Council. He is active on the boards of: Bank of Geneva, chairman; Limberlost Bancshares Inc., chairman; Limberlost State Historic Site, corporate secretary; Swiss Village Retirement Center; Adams County Economic Development, treasurer; Adams Public Library System, treasurer; and Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership. Briggs is a graduate of Ball State University.

James G. Hiatt is president and CEO of First State Bank of Middlebury. He began his banking career in 1970 and joined First State Bank as president and board member in 1982. Hiatt is chairman of the Economic Development Corp. of Elkhart County and of the Middlebury Redevelopment Commission. He is chairman of the board of the Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County and of the Middlebury Development Corp., and is a board member of the Middlebury Redevelopment Commission. He is a member of the Middlebury Optimist Club and of the charitable gift planning committee of the Elkhart County Community Foundation Inc. She joined the bank in 1995 and has served as chief financial officer, senior vice president, and executive vice president prior to being named president and CEO in 2006. Miller previously was employed with Clinton County Bank & Trust, which later merged with Summit Bank and NBD, for nearly 10 years; she served as loan review officer, chief financial officer and executive officer. Prior to her banking career, Miller was a staff accountant for nine years with the CPA firm of C.S. Oats Accountancy Corp., Lebanon. She is a member of the Indiana CPA Society, the Frankfort Main Street board, Clinton County Partners in Progress, the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce and the IBA Executive Committee. Miller earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University.

Annette M. Russell is CEO of Security Federal Savings Bank, Logansport. She joined the bank in 1991. A certified public accountant, Russell is a graduate of Indiana University-Kokomo, of the Graduate School of Bank Investments and Financial Management and of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. She serves the community as a member of the board of directors of Special Olympics of Cass County, on the Reading Railroad advisory board and as 2011 United Way Campaign chair. Additionally Russell is active on the Ivy Tech Capital Campaign Steering Committee, Stonier Capstone Advisor, United Way leadership committee and as past chair of the Logansport/Cass County Economic Development Corp. Russell was granted the Indiana University Kokomo Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2006 and was named Chamber of Commerce Business Woman of the Year for 2007-08.

Newbold serves his community as a director of the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, a director of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, a director of LYNX Capital Corp., a director of the Indiana Community Business Credit Corp., a director of The Children’s Bureau and a director of Greenwood Community Schools Holding Corp. Dennis Wayman is chairman, president and chief executive officer of State Bank of Medora. He joined the bank as a file clerk in 1972 and was named CEO in 1982, president in 1991 and chairman in 2001. Wayman serves as a member of the board and secretary of the Community Foundation of Jackson County and is a member of the school board for the Medora Community School Corp. In addition to his banking career, he and his wife have been operating a combination laundry and car wash in Medora for 34 years.

Kurt D. Rosenberger is president and CEO of Our Community Bank, Spencer. He joined the bank in 1994 and served as vice president and chief financial officer prior to being named president and CEO in 2002. Previously Rosenberger served as a federal thrift examiner and senior financial analyst for the Office of Thrift Supervision in Indianapolis from 1986 to 1994. He began his banking career in 1981 as a Peace Corps volunteer assigned to a rural bank in the Philippines. Rosenberger currently serves on the IBA service corporation board of directors and the Title Center of Indiana board of governors. He is a member of the Owen County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corp. and a member of the board of directors, treasurer and finance committee chairman for the Owen County Family YMCA. Rosenberger earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
