Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation Conference

    The Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation (SHCPF) will host its seventh Annual Bankers Conference Oct. 7-8 in Memphis, Tenn. Is Your Firm Set to Become a Diamond Associate Member?

    Earlier this year, IBA launched the Diamond Associate Member Award, designed to recognize those associate members that go above and beyond the norm in their support of the Association. Now is ideal timing to prepare to join the ranks of the 2010 class of Diamond Associate Members.

    To be recognized as a Diamond Associate Member, an organization must meet at least four of the following five criteria:

  • Political Action Committee support ($500 minimum;
  • Event participation (two-event minimum);
  • Advertising outreach ($3,000 minimum);
  • Sponsorships ($2,000 minimum); PSP utilization (one minimum).

Hoosier Traditional Mortgage Guidelines Announced

    Guidelines for Hoosier Traditional Mortgage providers have been announced by David Mills, director of the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions. The Hoosier Traditional Mortgage program is a voluntary registration program for all mortgage lenders and mortgage brokers.

    The program was enabled by the Indiana legislature in the 2010 session, originally under the name of “Five Star Mortgage Lender.” The Hoosier Traditional Mortgage program is intended to promote and encourage a return to conventional mortgage lending and to provide educational opportunities for Hoosier homebuyers and owners.
