Two Indiana Bankers Named ICBA Rising Stars

Only five bankers across the nation were selected as "Rising Stars" by the Independent Community Bankers of America. Two of those five honorees are Indiana bankers!

Congratulations to Craig Buse, Springs Valley Bank & Trust, Jasper, and Noah Smith, Crossroads Bank, Wabash, who represent the best and brightest nationwide in the community banking industry. They were nominated by their peers for their commitment to quality, ingenuity, integrity in business practices and service to the community. Read ICBA news release.

Exciting Forum Opportunities

For the first time, IBA is offering senior lenders and CFOs the opportunity to become charter members of one of two key forums:

Both forums bring participants from across the state together at IBA headquarters three times annually to dissect common issues and to discuss tactics in driving bank performance. The number of participants is limited in order to encourage open discussion, and we strive to avoid including direct competitors within the same forum. For more information, please contactLaurie A. Rees at the IBA, 317-387-9380.

Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation

The Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation (SHCPF), endorsed by the IBA, is a conduit for banks to earn risk-free CRA loans and investment credit, while achieving above-market yields and helping to stop the exploitation and abuse of nursing home residents. Loans and investments made by banks enable the SHCPF to provide the acclaimed Senior Crimestoppers program at no cost to low- and moderate-income senior housing facilities.

IBA has scheduled a free webinar on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m. EST, with a goal of full membership participation. The webinar will detail the initiative and its benefits to participating banks.
