Mega Questions & Answers
How should I register for the conference? Please fill out the enclosed registration form completely and return it to the IBA, along with a check for all fees payable to the IBA Foundation Inc. We also accept MasterCard and Visa. Make additional copies of the form as needed. You can also register online at www.indianabankers.org. All registration materials will be distributed at the IBA registration desk located at the Indiana Convention Center.
When is the registration desk open?
Monday, May 24 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 25 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 26 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
How much does Mega cost, and what does it include? One of the greatest strengths of the Mega Conference is its flexibility. Participants may register for either Tuesday, Wednesday or both days. The golf tournament is available à la carte. Conference registration fees and details are shown on the facing page.
What are Mega Bucks? To encourage full participation in the 2010 Mega Conference, the IBA is offering a program that allows you to purchase multiple conference registrations at a discount. A packet of 10 Mega Bucks is available for $1,350. Additional Mega Bucks can be purchased for $135 each. Each Mega Buck is good for a one-day registration to the conference, or two Mega Bucks can be used for a two-day registration. Mega Bucks can also be used for the golf tournament. Go online at www.indianabankers.org to order your Mega Bucks, or contact Susan Clark at 317-387-9380. (Mega Bucks are subject to a nonmember surcharge of an additional 100 percent.)
How do I reserve a hotel room? As of May 5 - Our block at the Marriott is full and they are completely booked over our days. An overflow block has been arranged at the Crowne Plaza Downtown. The Crowne is located across the street from the Convention Center on the Capitol Avenue side. Their address is 123 West Louisiana St., Indianapolis, IN 46225. Please call 317/631-2221 and ask for the Indiana Bankers Association rate ($119). If you have any problems or question please contact Chris Bennett at the IBA at 317/387-9380. Reservations require a credit card guarantee.
What should I wear? The IBA encourages you to dress comfortably for all educational sessions. Business casual dress (golf shirts, slacks, etc.) is appropriate. Due to temperature fluctuations at the Convention Center, a sweater or jacket is recommended.
What are the MAXI Awards? The Indiana Chapter of the ABA Marketing Network will be hosting the 2010 MAXI Awards in conjunction with the 2010 Mega Conference on Wednesday. The MAXI Awards luncheon will recognize excellence in bank marketing throughout the state and will include a special multimedia presentation.
Is there a trade show? A trade show will be available to provide attendees the opportunity to review products and services applicable to the Indiana banking community. It will be open for viewing throughout the conference and Mega Celebration. Attendees will also be provided with a Trade Show Guide, giving contact information regarding the exhibitors.
What about continuing education credits? The IBA has submitted the conference agenda for CLE, CPE, ICB, CFP and SPHR credit. Specific credit information will be available at the IBA registration desk and in the conference program booklet.
What is the Mega Celebration? The Mega Celebration, an evening of food, beverage and entertainment, is open to all registrants at no additional charge. Located throughout the trade show area, the Mega Celebration is the perfect time to visit with old friends, make new acquaintances and peruse the latest in bank products and services offered by our exhibitors. The Mega Celebration will be held from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25.
